    2. In a medium saucepan, add the rinsed rice, water, and a pinch of salt.
    3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
    4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.

  2. Scorched Rice:
    1. Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
    2. Add the cooked rice to the skillet, spreading it out evenly.
    3. Cook undisturbed for 5-7 minutes, allowing the bottom layer to crisp up and turn golden brown.
    4. Using a spatula, flip the rice over and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the other side is crispy as well.
    5. Remove from heat and transfer the scorched rice to a plate.
  3. Scorched Rice Tea:
    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
    2. Spread the scorched rice on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until it becomes dark brown and aromatic.
    3. Remove from the oven and let it cool.
    4. In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
    5. Add the cooled scorched rice to the boiling water and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
    6. Remove from heat and strain the tea to remove the rice particles.
    7. Add honey if desired and stir until dissolved.
